There is nothing more disspiriting to me than "morning" greetings in the afternoon.  When I leave and return to work on the same calendar day I get grumpy.

The background is (or is it are?) beginning the phase known as comfortable.  The novelty has worn off and sometimes people feel entitled to the same things as the crew.  I don't mean food and water but they do have a set-up for themselves that is equal.

Behind the Retreat

This is behind the "C. R." set in Bora Bora. Yesterday was one click
short of 15 hours, that's roaring back into work.

There is a lot going on on this stage beyond the 230 background
artists. I kinda hope this is my Friday because the beach hours
spoiled me.

One More Day

Well here I sit amidst boxes of Set Dec tools writing my next-to-last post while on "The Hangover". Come next week I hope to be in a tower somewhere between Las Tunas and Marina del Rey.

The ride on this has been okay for the most part. No major injuries to speak of and only one person sent to the hospital.

What's next? I have no idea. The threat of a SAG strike is putting a damper on my thought of work but I'm not worried. As I've said before, having the beach to fall back on is fantastic.

I'm gonna go eat lunch.

The Birthday Physical

Yes, today is the happy day! I have been shuffling across this mortal coil for many years now.

This morning I got to sleep-in in order to take my physical for the County's Fitness For Life, it really stinks to get old. I have a little hearing loss and a couple other things that bare looking into but I will get a 3% bonus and that'll be great for lifeguard work.

These are the last few days for me here on "The Hangover" and then I'm retiring until the next gig. This isn't the best time to be off work. First, most shows take about two weeks off for the holidays and second, the actors of SAG are threatening to strike.

I'm hoping that the weather here in Los Angeles remains warm through the next month so I can Lifeguard.

I finished watching "The Aviator" today and tomorrow I will view something I've already seen, I didn't get to Hollywood Video tonight to get a new movie. Today was so quiet that I even went out to coffee with the Set Dressers.

Went swimming this evening with my younger son at Santa Monica College. The pool is really nice and he and I both like to swim outdoors. Saturday is our yard sale and we've been cleaning out our storage to get stuff to sell.

The Last Days of "The Hangover"

I am in the Warehouse as the Special FX crew loads a truck and the Props guys dismantle their "Gold Room". I'm watching movies and editing a story my younger son is writing.

Very quiet times and a good way to wind down. Sorry to say not much of any note.
